FORT RUCKER — U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence Commanding General Maj. Gen. James O. Barclay III has referred the case of Spc. Dedrick Fisher Sr. to a general court martial.

A military judge has been contacted, and the court date is to be determined.

Spc. Fisher faces a court martial after being charged by Fort Rucker officials Feb. 4, with manslaughter in connection with the death of his 5-month-old son, who died Feb. 2, in Dale County Medical Center, Ozark.
